Golf Skills Test

Evaluating your skills

I always liked the rule "Plus or minus one foot for every ten yards." On a 100 yard shot your ball should be within 10 feet in any direction between 70 and 80 percent of the time in real play. This is a general rule to test your skills against those of tour players. At 10 yards your ball should be in about a 1 foot range 70 to 80 percent of the time. You can apply this rule or one tailored to your skill level to determine the strengths and weaknesses of your game.
