Golf Range Tips
Golf hand eye coordination
Some people would say, "The golf swing requires a lot of hand eye coordination." For many people it is about over coming hand eye coordination. Instinctively, many people try to delever their hands to the ball or watch their hands deliver the club to the ball. This tendency is common and hard to over come. This natural tendency can make swinging the golf club very frustrating. The hands should stay below the direct view of the eyes to produce a desirable swing path. Use your eyes to evaluate your swing path, not to guide your club.
Give your eyes a little freedom. You do not want them fixed on the ball through out your swing. You only need to pick up sight of the ball just prior to impact. Giving the eyes freedom will help you build confidence in your swing and give you more freedom of movement. The old general athletic rule of "Keep your eye on the ball' is often counter productive. Even in baseball, this rule is being abandoned. The real good hitters, track the ball with what is similar to snap shots. They pick up the ball at a couple locations during the flight inorder to better evaluate the tendency of the ball flight. Like a child you see everyday, you can not easily see the changes. Be away for a month or two and the changes are obvious. While this has little to do with a golf ball that is not even moving, I am only trying to convince you that this rule is not as important as what was once thought.
